A protest organized by the Delhi Mahila Congress was held against the Vice President of India. After that Delhi Police to summon the protesters to the North Avenue Police Station. Despite being held at the police station for the entire day, the protesting women were not released.

Upon learning about this situation, AIMC President Ms. Alka Lamba ji went to the North Avenue Police Station to secure their release. She expressed her disapproval to the Delhi Police stating that the handling of the situation was unacceptable.
