The Mahila Congress is launching a nationwide movement on July 29, 2024, to advocate for the rights and representation of half the population. Starting from Jantar Mantar in Delhi, this movement will spread to every corner of the country. Today, the outline of this movement was presented at a press conference held at the AICC HQ. We have three major demands:
- The implementation of the 33% women‟s reservation bill for political justice.
- Ensuring the participation of our SC-ST and most backward OBC sisters in this reservation and enforcing the law accordingly.
- Discussion and implementation of this reservation in states where assembly elections are forthcoming. Until these demands are met, every Mahila Congress worker will continue the struggle from the streets to the Parliament.
