In support of women’s rights and dignity, the Maharashtra Pradesh Mahila Congress organized the „Nari Nyay Andolan‟ in the RSS stronghold of Nagpur under the leadership of Ms. Alka Lamba, President of AIMC. Shri Mukul Wasnik, General Secretary, AICC, Shri Nana Patole, President Maharashtra PCC, Smt. Shafia Zubair, AIMC Observer of Maharashtra and Smt. Sandhya Sawalakhe, President, Maharashtra PMC were also present in the program.

The Mahila Congress has three main demands of Nari Nyay:

• The Women‟s Reservation Law should be implemented immediately, with the inclusion of the OBC category in women‟s reservation.
• The Modi government should provide relief to women from rising inflation and deposit money into their bank accounts to support their economic empowerment.
• The government should enhance security for women by addressing the increasing crime rates.
